I'm looking to build myself a Media Centre/Home Theatre PC and obviously the sound card needs to be good quality. I've seen good things said about both the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude and Asus Xonar D2, but have not seen direct comparisons yet. Does anyone have any view on these cards, in the context of a HTPC, ie no games (i already have a good desktop/gaming pc).
Thanks for any advice.

Sorry I don't have the time the find the link again for you, but I did find a recent review of the Asus Xonar which was far from glowing. I'm thinking of buying a new soundcard and was at one time considering the Xonar and the Prelude. However, I'm no longer interested in the Xonar. I'm watching the posts from early adopters to see whether or not the Prelude is as good as the puff from online reviewers say it is. So far so good.:)
