is the following:

4GB Kit (4x1GB) DDr2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Dominator Memory Unbuffered CL5 (5-5-5-18)

Better than:

Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit CL=4

and is the top memory worth getting?

The Ballistix is better as it has lower timings, uses better chips and overclocks further. It's a bargain atm.

Tho the PC5300 Ballistix is even cheaper and preforms just as well as it's PC6400 brother.

hmmm thats what i thought, just i already have the top memory which was the wrong memory in my order and i wanted the ballistix. Are the timings that bad? or is it really worth going for the best ram here.

The timings are fine. You won't notice the difference unless you are intending to overclock the memory, in which case the C5 Corsair will hit its wall far sooner.

Tho if I'd paid for the Ballistix I would expect to get the Ballistix.

well i dont intend to overclock atm, as my current ram is giving me problems (bluescreens) so as long as it runs stable and is fairly good ill stick with it i guess.

Yip Corsair are solid.

I'd be peeved with getting the wrong order, but if the Corsair will do what you need it to then you'll be more than happy with it.
