Comparisons in prices of OcUK

Could you please tell me why the price of the XFX Geforce 6800GS (£154.95) is more expensive than the OcUK Guru3D (139.95). They both have the same specifications and I cannot see any difference in them.

Would it be likely for the prices of the above graphic cards to go down further due to the 7800 coming out. :)

Well the XFX has 2 years warrenty, not sure what the ocuk one is though.

Generally all the named brands if u like will be more expensive compared to overclockers branded (sort of) one. It may be that the XFX one will overclock further (dont take my word for it though)
 
They get the OCuk ones cheaper because they either A. buy in larger quantities or B. buy from a company that isnt so well known here meaning they are willing to undercut competitors to get the sale (i.e. my ocuk 7800GT is point of view, has a 3 year warranty and clocks very well).

Because they buy cheaper, they can sell cheaper.

yep. the pic for the OcUK 6800GS is a point of view card box also.


though i thought OcUK only offer 1 year warranty? must be through them anyway.
