Hi folks, first time poster longtime reader, and just after a bit of advice.
Just wanting to know if the 1090T will work with a GA-MA770-UD3.(Rev 2). Reading the cpu compatability chart for the board it lists the T1035 and the T1055 as compatable with the latest bios but no mention anywhere about the T1090. The board is rated for 125w also, and is an AM2+ socket.
Anyhelp is appreciated as cant quite figure out the Gigabyte website as no where is it mentioning the T1090. Is it a case of sucking it and seeing or is there a chance its not being mentioned and is compatable, because for some reason GB dont seem to like listing BE versions.
Many Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I recently purchased the same motherboard as you and had the same query so I emailed Gigabyte directly :-

Hi I recently noticed that the motherboard GA-MA770-UD3 (Rev. 2.0) has been given support for 2 of the new AMD Phenom2 X6 processors, namely the 1035T and 1055T. Does this mean that the motherboard will not support the 1090T model as I was hoping to upgrade to this model with the above mentioned motherboard.

Many Thanks

Hi,

1090T CPU hasn’t been verified. Our validation dept. will arrange to test it

Please logon to Gigabyte website and check CPU Support List for updates.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks Kaylan, well Ive just bitten the bullet and ordered one for tomorrow anyway, so will let you know if it works or not, if not Ill just have to stick it on a shelf for a while and wait and see, hopefully It will work but knowing my luck atm lol who knows. Saying that the 1090T isnt mentioned for any of the boards yet and is up and running on other GB boards with the same cpu compatability list showing only the 1035T and the 1055T so fingers crossed if the other X6's work I cant see there being any serious difference from the 1090T, just no definate answers.
Cheers for the answer, will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
Dave.

I would be inclined to just say its red tape on Gigabyte's behalf with them just being slow on the verification process as there shouldn't be much difference between the X6 models in terms of compatibility, I'm very interested in your findings.

Good luck.

Hiya Kaylan, good news, arrived this a.m , was just a simple drop in with the new FI bios. Not had chance to play about much yet but all seems fine up to now apart from AOD not reading the TMPIN 1 through to TMPIN4, they are all giving -294.7 readings atm, similar problem to when cores have been unlocked. The core temp is showing right though, Other monitoring programs are picking up the CPU temp though.
Thanks for answering before,
Dave

Very good to hear only minor issues have appeared, i've updated to the FI bios too in preparation... just need to find the cash for the processor next ;)

Once you get to grips with the 1090T i'd be interested in your experiences, might be worth a post / read in here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18139834

Cheers for being the guinea pig so to speak :) and once again I wish you all the luck in the world.
