Hello.

I want to know if anybody has the configuration i'd like to purchase, i know the motherboard and cpu are compatible, but Gigabyte hasn't listed the RAM due to many available models.

GA-Z77X-UD5H
i7-3770K
TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

To clarify again, i want to know if anyone has proven this RAM to work with this motherboard.
An answer would be appreciated soon as i want to take advantage of an offer.

Won't that depend upon what i am doing - For example, running AV scan, listening to music and playing a graphics intensive game like BF3 maxed out. Would this not validate my choice? Have you got any graphs you can show me, please.

My motherboard states support for Dual Channel memory. Does this make four modules a non option with regards to improving the utility of the memory. In other words 4xdimms is a cheaper way of getting more storage, even though there are fewer than four channels. Would four cause my CPU to work harder at switching between modules?

Historically, 4 DIMMS would place more stress on the memory controller which would lower your highest potential overclock. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it is unlikely to cause any issues unless you are overclocking the CPU hard.

I suppose 4.5 on air is good when considering the wattage reduction. My current CPU is i5 650 2.8ghz, so it could be considered a rational upgrade over a 2600/2700 due to increased efficiency.

Well if nothing else your post counts going up!

From what you've said. Go buy the ram that got linked at the top. It will be fine.

Rest is well.. not needed.

You are able to edit posts rather than spam the same threard talking to yourself for the most part.

Also trying to use 2400 mhz ram when its kinda pointless unless benchmarking, also switching to x79 when no real requirements have been set out.

RAM speed doesn't affect gaming performance/multiple applcations. 2x4gb is more than enough for your usage. What you really want is more money on the GPU, since BF3 will be the heaviest thing.

Bf3 also apparently have stuttering issues with hyperthreading which what the i7s have, so you might be better off with the i5-3570K. Games usually use only 2-4 cores efficiently anyway, so the i5 will still give the same performance.
