Hi guys,

My friend has a little problem, one his ugly, 2nd is he wants to get a different gpu.

His mobo is a ASROCK P4i65G http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P4i65G

He wants the best AGP card money can buy, so I suggested the ATI1950pro, but with my limited knowledge of pc's I was after some advice, will this work ok on his board??

will this be ok?

his really a nvidia person, but on looking at the specs, the ati looks better.

the best agp card that is around is the ati x1950xt but it is gecube only i'm sure.

edit: oh and the 3850 agp's are coming out in january (accroding to fudzilla), probably best to wait for them. but i suppose it depends on the rest of his computer specs.

Ram = 2x1GB Ballistix Tracer PC4000
Psu = JEANTECH 350W
Gpu @ present = PNY Nvidia GEForce6600 256mb AGPx8 gfx card

Brand loyalty never really pays off, just pick whatever's the best, there's nothing wrong with ATI anyway. For AGP there's either the current x1950 series or if you wait, PowerColor are releasing an AGP version of the ATI HD3850, although it might struggle on that PSU...

yea I did warn him about his psu might be a little weak.
