Hello again,

My current setup:-

Intel E6700
MSI Powerup Edition Mobo
2GB G.Skill Ram
Connect3d X1900XT-X
RADOEN X1900 CF Edition
700W FSP PSU

Im going for a 8800 soon(one without water cooling)768mb card, and im wondering. As my mobo is Crossfire ready, will i still be able to use it for a single NVIDIA 8800? or will i need new mobo. If so, any recommendations?

Oh one other thing ofcourse, will one 8800 outperform my crossfire setup? im not to bothered but im really fed up with crossfire, dont like the huge dongle connecting them at back and the CCC software really makes my pc slow.

Thanks for any suggestions.

If you got your self x1900xtx crossfire then i would wait a while untill something new comes along(8900GTX/R600) them 1900's will still kick ass in any game, not worth it yet.

yeh, they are really good. But its the software and just general buggyness that annoys me with it especially the huge wire out back of my pc connecting them.

Would the 8800 under perform then against my crossfire?

honestly you'll get a bit better performance out of the gtx.... and you will get away with one card in your curent mobo just not sli.

hmm starting to think it might not fit my case now lol. Ive got the Thermaltake Tsunami Dream(Silver). Its gonna be tight, might need to hack some of the Harddrive bay away :/.
Anyone got one of these cases and cards?

EDIT: Found this about this card going in my case - CLICK . The HD cage need to be removed so not sure i can get this card without getting a new case as theres no where left to put my 2 hd's.
