Compatibility issues, if any?

Hello there,

Hoping to build my first PC pretty soon.

I've had the conmponents spec'd to me here, and I was wondering, if I want to change a few of them, are there going to be any compatibility issues?

I want to get a PSU with a higher wattage, and possibly change some other bits.

Also, I'd be interested to hear peoples experience with Vista 64x.

I have been using Vista 64bit for the past year & half and had no major issues.
List the parts you want to change from & too and someone should be able to help :)

just to add that once you have made your decision on what componants you will be getting, go to all the relevant websites for that piece of hardware and check compatabilty with Vista. just to put your mind at rest :)

Also do the same for for any programs that you have, and will be reinstalling on the Vista setup. Although i think compatabilty issues are few and far between with vista now.

Ok, here is my original spec:

First off, I was thinking of changing to PSU to a Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU.

Was also thinking of changing the case for something a little cheaper. There are plenty listed on OC, but I don't know if I'm going to run into problems if I do get a different one.

My major concern with the case if that its going to be easy to build. As I have already mentioned, this is my first one ever, and although I'm excited, I'm also bricking it!

Changing the PSU to the Corsair TX 650W wil be fine, on the case front only thing you need check is you don't buy a case for m-atx boards only this will say in the text.
A good case seems to be the Antec 300 @ £46.00, Clicky.

It might be worth changing the motherboard to the Abit IP43 as this will give you PCI E 2.0 and a newer chipset for £2.00 more Clicky

Good luck with your new build, and remember to post some pics.
