Compatibility problem ? - corsair+twinmos

Guy what am I doing wrong ?.

I have just got a new ddr corsair 512mb pc4000 stick, double sided.
and cannot get to work with my previous 2 x 256mb twinmos pc3700 sticks.
which are single sided even with very slow timings.

I have the MSI KT880 mobo both the twimos and corsair work fine on their own !!.

Is it because double/single sided cannot work together ?

It may or may not be due to mixing SS with DS. It could also be a chipset limitation or IC conflict.
