Is the following item

compatible with the gigabyte z87x oc board. Ive read a few articles on google saying haswell doesnt like higher clocked ram. If its not could someone point me towards some 8gb ram in the same sort of price bracket, 10-15 quid either way please

I see no reason why that ram should not work, unless your unlucky have a faulty stick but amount they have sold I have seen very few posts about issues with this ram - again this could happens with any ram purchased.
