Currently using Vista and everything is lagging and its annoying, so thinking of installing Linux and running that permanently, but does Dreamweaver and Photoshop work with Linux as I need these?

Thanks

Now now. Don't put the man down too soon.

You have several laborious options! Like pointlessly virtualising windows or learning how to use Linux tools such as GIMP. Which is, kinda like trying to learn to ride a new type of bike, but on this one you ride it backwards! And it doesn't quite have wheels, you have to find the right one to install yourself.

But to be honest, I'd stick with deano's answer. ;)

Ditto

I love Linux and have been using it for years (fedora being my distro of choice).

However I can't do without the Adobe suite, yes there are linux equivelents, but no, they aren't as good, especially if you already know how to do things the adobe way.

Yes, you can theoretically run the adobe apps under wine or within a virtual environment, but why would you cripple your performance just so that you can be using it under linux?

So, dual boot my friend :-) I always run mixed Linux, Windows on both my home and work PCs, some tasks are better acheived in Linux, some in Windows.
