HI,

I've recently helped a friend build a PC, and having issues booting. Now i can't see an issue with the Hardware, just want to ensure they are not direct compatibility issues.

Mobo - Fatal1ty 970 Performance 3.1 Motherboard (AMD 970, AM3+, ATX, USB 3.1, 220 W)

Ram - 2 of HyperX FURY Series 8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module - Red

CPU - AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W, Retail Boxed)

As far as i can see, this should work pretty much "Plug N Play" Anyone see any issues ?

The bios is not something I could confirm, literally received it boxed new yesterday. Everything is together and runs but no signal input to the monitor.

No on board graphics so using a Gt660.
Think I'll just breadbox it and start from there.

Update - graphics card works fine in my pc, but doesn't pick up a signal in his pc.

Also is just a generic 600w. Some standard make :/ power master or something.

-Correct, the Mobo does not have integrated graphics.
I've pinned it down I think to a problem with the new CPU/Mobo.

His graphics card inputted into my system instantly boots and works fine.
Even when i try his new CPU on his older (Yet still AM3) board. I still get no response from this.

I'm not patient enough / don't want to be stripping my already built ( and very tidly built might I add) system down to try anything further.

This is what he gets for trying to get reduced to clear parts from Amazon, returning them today and just going to get similar parts direct for OC.

Yeah, I can understand the older board not recognizing it.
But if you try the New Mobo (With the old chip) no response either.

The PSU although it is a few years old works with the older mobo and Cpu (Phenom Dual core I believe ) Just the second you bring into the equation the new Mobo or Cpu everything goes to pot :/
