It will all work, though you could probably get better for you money.

It'd be better to get a 3570k CPU or a 4670K and use the new 1150 socket.

For what seems a small budget, its a big chunk of money on the case alone.

I'd go for this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail with FREE Grid 2 PC Game £194.99
1 x Sapphire HD 7850 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £149.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £109.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £67.99
1 x XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £49.99
1 x Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller - Black £49.99
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £43.99
1 x OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
Total : £705.35 (includes shipping : £17.85).

  • Much better CPU, new socket, Overclockable
  • Motherboard to match new CPU. :)
  • 7850 is better than the 650ti and has 2GB VRAM, which helps.
  • That power supply is way to much, this one is great and made by seasonic
  • Case is very good and still quite edgey

ha ha thanks very much case doesn't look better but oh well its cheaper , and im gonna upgrade the graphics card in the future to a gtx 670 or even a 680 so will i need new power supply for them

Can I mention maybe picking different RAM, I'm seeing a few posts with issues with crucial RAM and Z87.
