This may be a bit of a stupid question, but here goes.I currently am using a evga 650ti ssc that seems to be broken as posted on another post on here.So with that in mind to getting another card my question is what would be the best graphics card for my build,as in brand,i.e,Ausu ,Gigabyte, and so forth.

My specs are as follows.
Mobo Gigabyte z97 u3d bk
Ram,16gb Corsair vengeance pro 2400 ddr3
Cpu,Intel i7 4790k.
PSU,Aerocool 850w integrator 80 plus
Hhd,3,1 Is 500gb,2 is a maxtor 250,3rd is a seagate 160gb
Running 2 monitors.

Any advice would be gratefully received, thx

I need a budget card for now as money is a little tight atm.I laid out quite abit of money on my rig, only to find out my gc is probably fubarred. My budget is around £100,plus or minus £20.I know this ain't a lot to put to a gc.As I say though money is a little tight. My main gaming monitor's resolution is 1440.Thx for any advice.

Only thing with ATI is that I had a crappy 5770,I think it was as a put me on card, anyway I dl'ed the ati catalyst manager np.But the trouble came when I came to uninstall it.It was the devil of a job to get it gone, and in fact it is still hidden in my windows registry.

Although as a foot note I'm gonna use dban to get rid of everything on the hd to put a clean install of win 7 ultimate back on.The reason being I had system care 8 from IO bit, which I was told is full of potential viruses.

Anyway I've wandered off the subject. So my point is I think I would rather stay with Nvidia because there driver support is better I think, but thx for all the advice ppl

The games I'm currently looking at is sw-bf and the new cod.As a foot note I was briefly able to go on the open beta of Ea's Sw-bf and from what I was able to see of it,it played fairly well. That did surprise me at how well it ran,for the 2mins I was able to play it.I have in excess of over around 120 plus pc games both in disk form and steam games. So it would mainly be for older games such as bf3/4 and also I go on Heroes' and Generals.

I was considering the gtx 950 as viable option, but at £130 that's stretching the budget. At least then it would be dx12,which is a crumb of comfort .Also as I say I'm not really into ATI.Like you say its 1or the other, but I'm on the NVIDIA side of the fence .

Well just thought I'd let ppl know what I went for.In the end I've gone for a Gigabyte Gtx 960 4gb x2 oc card.I know its not the best one to go for,but in my price bracket it was the best to get.I just hope after all my research it doesn't bottleneck .Will post results next week. And plz no ridiculing as it's the best I could do with the money I have.

Just a foot note dban was superb.

Oh btw I'm abit of a noob so not sure if my monitor is 1440p or not.The reported resolution is 1440*900 on my main monitor, sorry if I got that wrong

I'm gonna get an hdmi monitor that I believe will improve the overall quality of the graphics and also improve the speed too or have got that wrong too.

My next question is will I get bottle necking?I've tried researching it but I don't know.
