Hi all - I hope someone can help point me in the right direction here!
I have recently purchased the Gigabyte Z68-UD3 motherboard and soon to purchase the i5 2500k. I plan on doing a little overclocking (hopefully 4.5gHz) and from what I have read, the stock intel CPU cooler just won't cut it.
So I've been looking at purchasing a heatsink which, although not too pricey, should efficiently keep my i5 stable. I have singled out 3 coolers which have caught my eye - the Gelid Tranquilo, Corsair A50 and the Zalman CNPS10X.
In addition to which heatsink is best, I will also be looking to fill my 4 RAM slots with decent 1600mHz DDR3 Ram - perhaps Corsair Vengeance? My only problem is that I am unsure what height restrictions apply to the 3 coolers I have mentioned. I read on one review that the Tranquilo cooler has a height clearance of 38mm from the motherboard but I'm not sure of the exact height of the RAM sticks. This is what makes online shopping difficult
My current PC case is the Zalman Z9 Plus, which will probably also need to be considered when choosing the size of the CPU cooler, although from the reviews I've read of the aforementioned 3, my case should just about cover it.

P.S may aswell sneak in another question here - is there any point utilising the mSata SSD port on the Z68-UD3 or is it a better idea to just install the SSD the old fashioned way?
