I'm looking into buying a new laptop to do my 3d work on, I have a desktop as my primary, and now want a more powerful laptop so I can take my work with me, without the draw backs of working on a laptop.
I've found a HP Pavillion HDX9160ea,

which looks pretty darn nice! My problem however, is that it comes with Vista installed. My graphics program won't run on Vista, so it isn't a case of "just getting used to it".
Do you think it will be possible to put windows XP (possibly even 64bit) successfully onto the laptop whilst still utilising the specs? Or would it be more adviseable to dual boot the system? I know I won't get the full benefit of 4Gb of ram with 32-bit XP, but I'm willing to compromise.
Alternatively, should I just forget about this system due to the complications and look for something else? Given that I'm going to have to install XP along the lines?
