Compatible RAM

Hi everyone!

I'm about to build a new configuration.
Bought:
i5 8400
Z370 HD3

Still have to buy RAM.

My question is for Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2666C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR4 2666 MHz C16 Revision 3.32.
I found in the QVL list of the motherboard Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2666C16, but only with Revisions 4.23 and 5.30.
Is Revision 3.32 compatible with my Motherboard?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

The thing with the QVL lists is that they only test a certain amount of memory and the lists are never updated. In reality you will find that most memory will work. I am not sure about the locked cpu's but the ones that you can overclock show big improvements from memory that is 3000mhz+.

Just bought HyperX Fury 2x8GB 2666Mhz DDR4.
By default i5 8400 - 2666mhz, Z370 HD3 - 2133,2400 and 2666...
Hope the system will be stable. It's gonna be my first build

Max speed you can hit with that chip is 3600hz, have one on Aorus board and that's it - from overclock point of view. Had 8 pack kit which hit 4000hz on same board with i7 8700k .
Not sure anyone else has taken their 8400 as far ?
