I'm looking for a router for the Xbox 360 as I want to share internet access between the PC and Xbox. Apparently there is a list of compatible routers on the Xbox website but I can't find it. Does anyone know any compatible routers that I could buy (Inc make & model if appropiate).

Thanks folks

I use my DG834 by Netgear and it works a treat.

Phoneline = DG834 = WP624 (Wireless access point) = Wifi adapter on 360 = 360.

Works a dream. :)

Also have my PC, Laptop, Server, 2nd and 3rd rigs + 20 P2 450's hooked up to it no trouble.

Im on 4.4mb ADSL Max. :)

I use a speedtouch 716.
Although, i see no reason why you couldn't use any router of your choice.
There is nothing fundamentally different between them, other than feature sets.

NetGear DG834GT. I have it connected via wire to my 360 and wirelessly to my laptop which I can even use upstairs in bed and still get Max speeds.

It does have a bit of a reputation for dropping the internet and needing to be rebooted but since I installed the latest firmware I've not had a problem (we're talking 6 months now).

works fine on both my DG384GT and my Buffalo 54mbs airstation and its buffalo repeater. Truth be told u'd be dead unlucky if you bought a mainstream router that didnt like it. Most problems are based around settings that can be altered.

well you can use either the origo 8100 one port adsl router modem (served me well for both xbox's). Or my new setup is Linksys ADSL2MUE (ADSL2+ modem) in bridged mode to Linksys WRT54GS. PLugged in and away we go. XBL works fine with no tweaking at all.

I think the compatibility list is there simply because some routers may require configuring / forwarding to allow access to the 360 but any router with cat-5 or wireless should be fine.

Personally I am using the netgear DG834G and have had no problems. just plug in the cable and play away :)
