I was just looking at the E6600 and it states "Only compatible with new Intel 965 and 975X socket 775 Motherboards", so does this mean it's not compatible with my MoBo, if so could you recommend a suitable CPU that will be compatible?

Cheers,

The E6600 will work perfectly fine in the P5KC.

That description was written before the P35 boards existed.

Will all Core2Duo Processors work okay then? I'm really confused as to what processor to get. It will have to be one of the Core 2 Duo Processors rather than the Quad. I most likely won't be overclocking, at least for a while until I learn more, but would like the option.

I have:
Asus P5KC
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz
ATI X1900xtx

Ok I'll go for that one as the price doesn't seem too bad either. Are the prices going to come down at all anymore in the next few weeks or shall I just buy it now :P

There's talk of a small price drop later next month, but nothing like what we saw last week.
