Going to build myself I'm wondering if this is compatible I don't really plan on overclocking as it's out of my realm

Hi there, welcome to the forums :)

The spec looks great, everything is compatible.

I'm not sure which version of windows 7 HP that is, just make sure it is either Retail or 64 bit OEM - so you can install the 64 bit version and get access to all your RAM.

You may not want to overclock initially, but with that cooler, motherboard and CPU you will be able to get a nice overclock (perhaps 3.6GHz) rather easily, should you chose to.

it's 32/64 installation this computer i'm on now has xp and 1gb of ram so i'll upgrade this to 7 32bit and the new build to 7 64bit cheers :)
