Yes it is :)

(But if you're buying both the motherboard and CPU, I don't think anyone would recommend AMD at this time... Budget and required parts?)
 
Fair enough dude, just thought it was worth asking :)

Bear in mind though, unless you've had that chip running unlocked on another board, there's no guarantee that it WILL! You might be better putting your money into an actual quad core on your current board, as that at least is a certainty to get a quad core :)
