***COMPETITION! - Win a full cable braiding kit!***

Sorry for the long delay.

Have started working on cable braiding. It's a tough uphill learning curve figuring out how to remove pins from connectors and how to expand the braiding without blowing the ends into little Hendricks / Einstein hairdos.

Have figured out most of the pin connector removals except for female fan connectors. Have some PWM splitters and only way to put braiding on them is from female end.

Also finding the white braid does not hide the wire colors as well as I would like. Any ideas of how to deal with this problem?

Haven't taken any pics yet because I haven't really done anything worth showing yet. sorry.

If its a sata cable you should use masking tape underneath

Sorry, not the sata cables. Sata cables are black with white latch.

All the individual red, green, blue, yellow, orange, etc. show through the white braid... almost as bad as Corsair black PSU braiding.

This all goes into my Define R2 case (black/white) but my Phanteks is red with red housing/orange blade TY-143 fans and motherboard is Gigabyte blue.

Case fans are TY-140 with black housing with stock gray/blue fan.

Changing fan blade colour would be problematic as they are very hard to disassemble.
Thinking of maybe doing the individual wires going into 24pin motherboard connecter white and leaving main cable black.
