Im getting frustrated with the crap thats coming out on pc atm, ive no interest anymore in 1.6 or css, the only one that can keep me pc atm is cod2, thinking of joining the console brigade but the last one i owned was a n64, how far has xbox live come? ive no interest in the ps3 before people jump at me. Is there any decent leagues active matches going on? esperically in the cod series thanks for your time.

I find Live better than any online system on the PC (well Steam is very good for clans etc). Its easy to pick up and play with your friends, downloading demos, videos, music is easy.

Try it out if you know anyone that has a 360. Things like leagues are a little tricky to organise compared to the PC, but im pretty sure they are doable (outside Live cause there is no "League Mode" or anything like that).

personally PC gaming is where it's at for clans etc

I came from PC gaming and whilst I LOVE the 360, and I hammer xbox live, I don't play in clans etc

No dedicated servers = no regular plays = no community

2nd Game battles. We used to be very active on there in there during 2006-2008. Ranked second in the european ladders for RS:Vegas and the original Gears.

all i can say is, once you have tried playing an fps on a control pad you'll be hugging your mouse/keyboard again and wishing you had never abandoned it in the first place.

consoles are for noobs, 9 year olds and americans.

get yourself back on a pc son.

You've just made my morning, always nice to see an intelligent well informed post such as this.

In response to the OP, Xbox Live is an excellent system, but it is geared more towards groups of friends rather than clans. That isn't to say you couldn't be in a clan though. The price of the elite is now cheap enough that you might aswell give it a go, I came from PC gaming a few years ago and to be honest the 360 really rejuvinated my interest in gaming on the whole.

Although it cant be exactly the same as keyboard and mouse after time you do get used to using a controller for FPS. At first it felt awful after being a PC gamer for so long but I like you got fed up with playing the same stuff (WoW in my case) and made the jump to PS3. I couldnt afford to keep PC as it funded my PS3 and I was bit worried after I'd done it but after a short while started to get used to it and now think it's fine and played Killzone 2, modern warfare and uncharted without thinking dammit wheres my keyboard and mouse. I dont bother getting into "this console owns that console" and all other nonsense comments like that... Have you got a mate with an XBOX you could maybe have a dabble with before making the jump I presume you want XBOX because you have friends who already own it I'd like to have both a PS3 and XBOX if i could.

Im just about to make the jump to a PS3. I will still have my computer as backup but every single person in my department has a ps3 and I only play with people I meet online.

My friend brings his playstation into work (Shhhh...;) at the weekends and we have a bash on MW2 which is fun. I was truely rubbish at the beginning using a controller but after a few hours its becomes quite natural and you dont even think about it.

All I do now to get back into it is play a quick level of the target range mission on spec ops to get me back into it and im fine. Ive even started beating my mate to the kills and he lives with a ps3 controller in his hand.

Should be great fun when we are all online later this week.
