compiz has gone...

had some problems with compiz, needed to remove it in a hurry... so from the terminal i typed

sudo apt-get remove compiz*

Now when i reinstall it through the add/remove i install the packages
Advanced Desktop Effects Settings (ccsm)
and
Desktop effects

When i run the ccsm to configure what plugins i want running i see nothing in the options....

i'm running Ubuntu 9.04 (now with 8.10 graphics drivers as that was my problem)

i've not got a clue how to get it back !!!

Synaptic package manager (administration bit), then search for Compiz.

Shoud come up.

spot on, i was doing that as i got the alert saying someone had posted... LOL

forgot that add/remove is only apps, and that i had deleted the plugin and core etc...
