I recently read a review in some mag about system security, it also had reviews of some Virus programs, etc. Reviews are OK but I prefer to know what ppl are using in the real world.

So anyone help me out and choose my total system security, gonna need:

Anti Virus
Firewall
Trojan/Rootkit Protection
Spyware Protection
etc

Thanks

I use Panda Platinum Internet Security after winning it in a competition. It's pretty damn good in my opinion. I hardly notice its there.

I've also tried the trial version of F-Secure Internet Security and that seemed good as well.

IMO Here are the best:

AV - Avast Antivirus - http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

FW - Sygate Personal Firewall - http://www.tucows.com/preview/213160

SPY - AdAware SE - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Plus also I would get rid of Internet Explorer and try Mozilla Firefox instead, much more secure. It doesn't use Active-X controls like IE and Active-X is used heavily for Virii distribution!

Agreed. I use the same 3 & would recommend them. Also use Search & Destroy.

I use Avast for antivirus, Ewido for antimalware and Sunbelt Kerio firewall (just started using it and it is great)

If you want an all in one suite, Zone Alarm or Bitdefender do very good internet security suites including antivirus, antispyware, antispam, firewall and parental controls.

so nobody uses any specialist trojan software?
For me at least I find Avast is very good on trojans as well a other virii and Ewido originally started out as an anti trojan before evolving into a general all round nasty catcher. Got it covered.

A good firewall should stop any trojan exploits anyway.
