Hi Guys,
As the topic says I am a complete n00b when it comes to scooters. For one I have never ridden one and aint even sat on one. I have passed my bike test and did ride a Suzuki Bandit 600 a few times but decided it was not for me as was to quick and heavy, bit scarey tbh. The reason I am after a scooter is for the last year I have not been able to drive (due to medical conditions) and come August I will have my license back Smiley
I have always liked the idea of owning a scooter as it would allow me to make the short 2 mile journey to work and back and let me get out and about. I have been driving for the past 10 years and am capable on the road so that’s not a problem. But when it comes to mechanics I am useless so that makes me think the classic Lambretta style is out the window?
I also live in a flat and don't own a garage or anywhere to store the bike away from prying eyes so again nice looking classic Lambretta style scooters are likely to be a target.
I'm basically looking for advice on where to start?
What to look for?
How much to expect to pay?
Being based in Central Scotland is there anywhere I should check out to maybe get a shot on one?
A lot of questions I know but hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction.
Cheers
