Hi Folks,

Here's what I have so far:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4460 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £134.99
Cheap i5 for quad core all round goodness.
1 x Sapphire Radeon R7 265 Dual-X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £109.99
Appears to be a sweet spot for performance per £.
1 x Seagate SSHD 7200RPM 3.5" 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DX001) SSHD Hybrid Drive £82.99
I like hybrid drives, lots of space with some of the benefits of an SSD.
1 x Zalman LQ315 Ultimate Liquid CPU Cooler £69.95
Chosen in the quest for a quiet system.
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Gold (HX18C9BGK2/8-OC) £64.99
Low latency and quick at a sensible price.
1 x MSI Z97 PC Mate Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £64.99
No real reason for this one, mobos all look the same to me. ;-)
Total : £537.50 (includes shipping : £8.00).

To round it out, I'd like help to spec:
- a quiet PSU, preferably modular
- a quiet case
Budget is £150, split between the two.

I understand that Smart Response Technology is limited to 64GB. Is that still the case? Is it worth adding a cheap SSD for performance?

About £700 all in.

It's certainly an impressive build. I would like to spend a little on making it silent (over raw performance). =)
