I only want to overclock the CPU it up to 4.2GHz

Would you guys recommend using Asus TurboV Evo for overcloking? If yes, then using software do i just increase the CPU ratio or do i have to mess around with the voltage etc?

Screen of TurboV Evo which gives me those options:

I don't recommend using any of those programs, Its easier to do it in the BIOS.

You just need to change the CPU multiplier to 42X. The voltage may need adjusting. I'd try it at stock 1.125 and if you get a BSOD go to 1.150, if that fails 1.2 should defiantly do it. :)

so i went into bios and changed the following:

Quiet and 600 RPM and you still get below 70C that's pretty good.

I'd actually turn them up you'll get a lot less.

I'd also suggest using a better temp software, either Core Temp, Real temp of HW monitor. I use them all :)
