This wont be my first self build but Im so out of touch with things now that I wanted to post this for as quick sense check by you folks. Im currently using 3770k with 16GB ram all in a FT05 and I use my PC for Gaming and Lightroom. My monitor setup is 2 x 1920x1200 but I run games on just the one monitor (dual box Eve Online though). I might upgrade to higher res monitors in the future but thats a point for another day when I update my GPU.
Id like to make some upgrades to my system as one of my venerable components has developed an intermittent power issue (either the mobo, psu or case switch) which Im looking at as an opportunity to upgrade. Im also looking to downsize from the fantastic but utterly massive FT05 to a mini or micro atx build.
In the first instance Id like to upgrade Mobo / CPU / Ram / Cooler / Case. I would have liked to have waited for the 1600X but it seems like my power issue is slowly getting worse and I dont really want to go without Eve Online for a few weeks

GA-Z270M Micro ATX
16 GB DDR4 3000MHz Memory
240 Air Case
Some sort of all in one liquid cooler (case is a bit height restricted for coolers)
Possibly a new copy of windows 10 (Im using a copy upgraded from W7. Ive read some reports that suggest my W7 key will work when upgrading hardware)
Everything else ill carry over from my old PC, Im restricted in my case choice a little as it has to fit at least 2x SSD and 2x HDD. Ill pick up a new GPU further down the line along with one of those new fangled NVME SSDs if you think it will make a difference to boot / load times compared to a regular SSD.
