Realtek audio drivers were causing my stuttering on my rig
i7 6700k, GTX 980, 16GB DDR4, Windows 10

I uninstalled it and the issue is gone, but it keeps coming back, so i changed the Driver Manager audio device to high definition audio driver, uninstalled realtek again and disabled auto hardware updates but it keeps coming back!

I want to remove it completely from my system, regedits and everything as it keeps returning. Anyone got any way to completely nuke this thing from orbit? I dont want it back causing stuttering again!!

Surely disabling it in the BIOS will prevent it from re-installing the drivers. What are you using for sound though if you are not using the onboard audio?

you should be able to disable it in the bios. that would remove it from device manager and stop windows update from installing the driver.
