Completion certificate building work re mortgage.

Hi just received my re mortgage offer yesterday morning on my property now going through with solicitors, we have had 2 extensions built all passed at different stages with building control, will I need a full completion certificate ? Just missing a fire door from kitchen to garage.

But why ? What about if you was only halfway through and needing to remortgage ? The lender never said or asked.
