Is it possible to get a Component to DVI Adaptor...

I looking to buy a new monitor to use with my 360 and hopefully use it as a TV too (when everythings digital).

So with a tight budget i wondered if i could get a monitor with dvi, get an adaptor and then plug in all my digital items and get digital quality....

Does anyone know?

Thnaks!

Buy the offical MS xbox 360 VGA lead, and get a monitor with DVI and VGA so you can just switch between the sources whenever you want. Component isn't digital so you wouldn't get a digital signal with that anyway.

Yeah, no such thing as component to DVI adaptor, component is analogue. Definitely connect your 360 through VGA, the official MS cable. As for other devices, get a monitor with HDCP, and then you can use HDMI to DVI leads to connect them. That should work with things like SkyHD, HD-DVD players, Blu-ray players (inc PS3) etc. Just bear in mind that if you want full 1080p support you'll need at least 24", and also bear in mind that PC monitors are 16:10 and not 16:9, so there could be some stretching or small black bars top/bottom.

TBH if you're not buying it to use as a PC monitor, a HDTV might be better.
