Component upgrade question

Hi! :3

I'm looking into spending 350-400 on upgrades for my current desktop computer. It's 2-3 years old now and is in need of a better process to speed up video rendering.

The current process is a i3-530. I'm looking into upgrading to either an i5 or i7 Ivybridge but after doing a bit of research, it seems I'll need to upgrade the motherboard too as its a Gigabyte H55M-UD2H.

Any recommendations for what motherboard, processor and RAM (around 8gb) I should purchase for the amount I'm able to spend?
