Components Don't Sit Properly Inside Case

This is a strange one - I've got the Akasa Eclipse 62 (beautiful case I'll add), but for some reason, any PCI(-e) card that I've got doesn't seem to sit their slots properly. It seems that where the cards would screw into the (where there's that little 'extra' bit, that supports/sounds the cards' inputs/outputs etc) case, that they hit that part a little too soon and so the cards don't seem to sit in right. They also don't seem to reach, even though the motherboard is right against the edge of the case (so that the mobo ports are able to be 'got at' from the back, poking through the plate) so I'm having to use the screws of the expansion covers adjacent to secure the cards in as they don't line up to the holes. I put the thumbscrews on the motherboard plate as required, but it's still a little weird, and I don't like knowing that they're not sitting in their ports completely - despite the PC working just about fine.

The offending motherboard is a GA-P35-DS3R, the cards are a X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Platinum and an 8800GTX.

same problem with my eclipse, msi k8n s754 and x-fi extreme music, card plate wouldn't sit flush with the case. Can't get the card to work anyway so it's not in currently.

AGP card fitted fine, but it's not clipped to the motherboard due to the AS cooler touching the NB heatsink. If I get some time I might try taking the tray out and fitting it outside of the case.

Thing is I have put them on (after wondering why it wouldn't fit for ages) which is why it's baffling me :/

Hmm, is it that the cards fit in the slots on the mobo and still have spare backplate, or they dont quite reach the slots?

Could you take a pic and show us?
