components for a great overclocker?

what would you guys recommend as a great over clocker , i am leaning towards intel this time round , away from amd ........ i dont wantt o pay full whack for the best , so i hear great things about new daul core intels? what borad wwould you recommend ? gigabyte? thanks!

cheapest solution is the gigabyte DS3 , X6300 Duo 2 , 2 x1 gig 6400 DDR (geil) and a freezer 7 cpu cooler. You should see 3 gig + if you know what your doing, and have the rest of the system, decent parts of course.

For great value at the moment you'll want to do with a Gigabyte DS3/Asus P5B Deluxe and an E6300/E6400.

Personally I'm going to be getting the P5B Deluxe/E6400 combo soon.

Hi m8...just put together the same combo today with GSKILL PC6400 HZ ram.....running at 3.5ghz, ORTHOS stable

Now waiting for an X1950XT
