Im not sure whats happen here, but my computer has decided to be very awkward over the last few days. If you boot into windows normally it'll work fine for about 3 mins then freeze up. it works fine in safe mode though. I just did a reinstall of Vista SP1 so its hardly got anything on it. I've had no incling that anything is wrong on the hardware side so im thinking its windows its self...any ideas?

Specs:
GA-P35-DS3P (F11)
E8400 + Freezer 7 pro
8gb of corsair DDR2-6400
Saphire 3870X2
Samsung F1 320gb

Overclocked?
Temps?
Voltages?

If you've done a fresh install of the OS and it's doing exactly the same thing as before you rebuilt, it's either (and likely to be) a hardware problem, or a dodgy driver you've installed both times.

Its happens when its not overclocked and when it is.
It is normally OC'd to 4ghz @1.4v and the ram is at 890hmz with +2.5v. it will idle around 29-32c and peek in the low 50's after a few hours. its been very stable up to now. I tried lowering it to 3.6 and then resetting everthing back to the basic settings and it still happened. how does one find out if it is a driver causing the problem? try removing them device by device and see it it gets better?

Yeah pretty much. You want to be booting as cleanly as possible, with as few devices as possible. If you're stable, start adding things back in one by one and see if the problem re-appears with a particular device.

ha seems to be the first thing i tried. my pci wifi card. i let window update pull the driver for me when i first installed so i'll try actually getting it off the manufacturers site see if that fixes it
