composition critique..

comments on the compesition please, is it too close ? should i have got the top of the head too ?

You're probably not going to like me for this but I think that the photo's are a tad too close, and the fact that the girl's eyes are quite far apart add an extra dimension to the closeness of them, they work as photos, just too close imo.

The 2nd one is ideal close and *** 3rd can be cropped in a bit more with the eyes composed by rule of thirds to give a much more pleasing to the eyes (no pun intended!) look

There isn't anything wrong with close ups as long as the eyes are well defined which the baby has and might I say what amazing eyes they are too! I think some of the best portraits are of striking eyes, the top and bottom cropped leaving just a facial shape to view and the eyes dominating the frame!
