Compress DVD to use on IPOD Touch

Hi All,

Have an Ipod Touch arriving soon and I want to put a few DVD's on there to watch on things like train journeys etc.

I've used DVD Shrink in the past to copy off the DVD's onto my hard drive and view from there.

Are there any better apps out there? Requirements are to extract from DVD and shrink files to preferrably about 1GB to then copy over to the IPod. Preferrably shareware, but prepared to pay for the right app.

you need to convert them to mp4, using something like handbrake (freeware) which is multithreaded as well
