Compress Video files from camera

I have uncompressed .mov files from a Nikon D3100 whats the smallest free program that I can download that will make the files smaller.

At the moment a 2 min 30 sec clip is 360 mb.

For anyone that's interested freemake video converter is free and does the job great, beware though when you install it downloads 24 more mb.

It converted a 362 mb raw mov file to 85 mb (avi/1080p).

Just so you know your footage is already compressed, you're best off leaving it as is unless of course you want to upload a clip to YouTube or similar and have limited bandwidth.
