Compressing AVI files

Hello all,

not sure if this is the right place for this but -

I ahve a lot of AVI files which run for approx 45mins a piece, other AVI's that I have are 100-150mb smaller than the ones I have here, and on inspection the ones I have here are 640x480, the other smaller files are 512*384 - how do i adjust these files to be smaller?

easiest way is to use autogk to do it, will encode them as xvid files

you loose a lot of quality, and this isnt a good place i think for these questions, afterdawn is better

Auto GK is by far the best simple tool for anything avi related

Unless you can manage with all the apps individually.

with auto you would, you could reduce this by using CCE 6pass but thats over the top for the OP
