Compression fittings for new system

My current system uses Masterkleer 7/16" ID squeezed over 1/2 barbs. These are very tight and I'm not sure how easy these are going to be to remove. No clamps used.

However, for my new system, I'm thinking of using Compression fittings. I take it that if I choice 1/2" ID compression fittings that i'd only need 1/2" ID tubing rather than the tighter 7/16", which would be pointless?

Here's what I'm looking at :

EK-FC5870 V2 - Plexi (Non Reference ATI 5870)

HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 1366 Water Block

10 x 1/4" BSPP - 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Compression Fitting

5m of 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD XSPC Blue/UV Blue Hose

Any other combinations or recommendations?

Dump the heatkiller and get the EK HF as it performs better, what pump res rad are you going for.

They looks pretty good :)

I already have the rad pump and res :
Dual 750 clear Bay Reservoir with pump
MCR320-QP-K Triple 120mm

However, my original question is the ID tubing size?
