Compression fittings query

Will these compression fittings still fit with this tubing?

I'm assuming it will but a very very tight fit? Just wondering if I can still reuse my existing 7/16" tubing with these 13mm 3/8" - G1/4 compression fittings.

I think you would struggle to get the compression to screw down. I have always used the correct size compression fitting with tube size. Although don't take my word on it and wait for someone that has tried it....someone must have...

2mm to stretch over the barb wouldn't be easy but doable.

1mm too big on the compression part(after stretching it) so wouldn't grip at all. On this basis why not go with barbs?

Just buy some appropriate tubing. It's cheap enough
