Compro c100 capture card

Bought one of these a while back just tog et some old vcr tapes onto my hard drive but still unable to get it working.

It comes with ulead video studio 11 se, ive got all the options set correctly but the capture window refuses to show any video, i can hear the audio fine but video never appears onscreen. Even dloaded a trial of the newest version of this software and no luck. Posted on their support forums but already found a post with the same issue and all their tech supoort was able to offer was a guide on how to capture (as if the guy didn;t already know)

Anyone any insight into this or reccomend a cheap pci capture card?

I had a similar problem when I first set up my capture card (Black Magic Intnsity Shuttle).
Turned out that it was the refresh rate at which the software was trying to read the video file @.

In my case:
I had my xbox plugged into it and set it to read @ 1280x720 @ 60Hz, I got audio but no video, 1280x720 @ 50Hz, same thing. I also had a setting of 720 @ 59.9Hz, Which brough the video through as well.(I know your settings will be SD but this was my issue)

Try having a play through the refresh options. Not sure where the are in VS011 as I use a different program. Just a though before you shell out on another.
