Somewhere I shouldn't be!
Today I built up a PC to use as a HTPC, mainly to record TV, it is made up of "old" componants, AMD 4600+ X2, A8N32-SLI Deluxe, 2GB Kingston value Ram and a 80GB HDD.

I did a clean install of Vista Home Premium, installed all drivers for the motherboard and updated the OS etc.... all working okay.

Then I installed my Aldi DVB-TV USB stick (cost £20 last year) and then setup Media Center, this all works fine, great picture, records TV which was what I wanted it to do.

I then installed a ComPro K100 remote control, plugged in the IR receiver and Vista picked it all up, just to be sure I downloaded the latest drivers from ComPro and press the "green media globe", this started up the MC software, so all is good......

however I discovered that when I go to scroll through the menu, if I press the right arrow (or left arrow), and press it again to get to the next option, it does not respond, the IR receiver lights up, but does not change to the next option.

If I press up and then down again (to return to where I am), then press the right key, it responds, but only for one key press, even though the IR receiver still lights up to say it has received the signal.

I thought I had done something wrong, so installed it all onto my Vista Laptop, I get exactly the same issue.

If I press and hold the arrow key, it scrolls through the menus..... but it is too fast for me to stop where I want to.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a faulty remote? or am I stupid and missed something out when setting it up?

All help/advice is appreciated.

:D
