Compro T750 Tv Card

Has anybody got one of these working yet?
Ive just bought one as it had a nice set of features and cant for the life of me get it running.
The lack of XP x64 drivers of coarse doesnt help - which i was suprised at as isnt exactly a new OS....

Trying the vista driver it is installed ok and the card is recognised but when ComproDTV3 is fired up it complains of a Application error and lists the following components as unregistered:

Compro Audio Decoder (For 2.x) Unknow Unregistered
VampDeviceEnum Class Unknow unregistered

Any help is appreciated as this has been ruining my weekend.

Hi dude, I've spent a lot of the weekend perfecting the setup on this card and I am now watching the Open golf crystal clear in Media Centre (Vista Ultimate x64). This is despite the freeview website saying that I can only receive patchy reception on a few channels (I have a loft aerial). I'm really pleased with this card and even have the remote working in media centre due to a program some bloke I'm very grateful to has written.

The hang-up with this card is that the software is shockingly bad. You can select aerial / digital / cable and press apply, only to find that it's gone back to whatever it was set to of its own accord.

My advice is therefore don't bother with ComproDTV and use Media Centre (if you have it).

Unfortunately i dont have media centre, only xp x64.
If i need to get a different OS then i may as well get a different TV card instead and throw the compro out of the window.
I have sent an email to there support in the hope they may be able to help but i doubt ill even get a response.

I assume you actually downloaded drivers specifically designed for XP64 and researched compatibility before purchasing the card? If not I don't see how you can blame the manufacturers.

So long as you have working drivers for it, try mediaportal, its a good mediacentre alternative for XP.

Massive thanks are due to this guy as it works fantastically well. Only thing I couldn't figure out though was how to uninstall ComproDTV3 and retain functionality.
