Had nothing but trouble with my Compro VideoMate DVB-T300 since I got it.

Just about solved all my other problems to do with picture quality over composite / svideo (or learning to accept them, I forget which it is) but am still getting interference to the picture and sound whenever I access my HDD's.

My setup is Sky box - TV card via composite with the audio going from the skybox straight to the sound card.

I'll post a pic up when I can get back to my comp but untill then a description will have to do. I basically get screen tearing followed by audio scratching whenever I access the HDD's. It seems to be directly related to how much the hdd's are being accessed (the more access the more interference).

None of the IRQ's are shared. I figured it could be something to do with the HTT bus speed as I run it quite low, but even set to high it makes no difference. I've tried different PCI slots and that doesn't seem to make a difference either.

I'm going to try moving it the PCI slot closest to the CPU tonight, should I uninstall / reinstall drivers when I do it?

Anyone got any thoughts I'd really appreciate it if you shared them.

Specs below:

Opteron 146 @ 2.8 ghz
Abit AV8
4 x 512 MB Geil Value ram
X-fi Fatality
x800 pro
US Robotics wifi pci card.
Seagate baraccuda HD's.

edit:

Compro support are terrible tbh. Got generic responses to 3 or 4 of my emails (ignoring what what was said in the previous mails) and then nothing for a month. /rant
