lads

yea thanks for that, iam using TestOut Navigator (Stand-Alone Version) to teach my self.. how many questions are there? how often is there gaps to do the exam?? is it like once a year, month?

thanks for that site, shame there is no where local 2 me they are all like 2h drive!

so you can do hardware first then do test,(do you find out strate away if u pass?)

then say 1 month later do OS one.

then you get your a+

or you get one for each?

Only get the A+ if you pass both components...

Were PC based for me - I paid £90 to a local college and got the exams paid for - very cheap :D and exams arent that taxing really...

We used Cisco as our training partner and took the HP I.T Essential 1 aswell as part of the course - all in all a damn good deal looking at what others paid/got...

ps3ud0

I did mine quite a few years ago... IIRC both modules were completely computer based. I'm sure I didn't pay £200 for mine though... can't say it secured me any jobs but its something to add to your CV and most members of OcUK computer forums should have no trouble at all completing it - its quite basic diagnosis and troubleshooting especially now that questions regarding IRQs and the like have been ditched.

I did mine, got the highest pass mark out of everyone I did the course with. It ended up costing me £240, £100 to take the course at Truro college and a further £140 for the exams.
