Hey Guys,

Doing this exam in the coming month, and finally got me cisco ccna booked.
Can anyone let me know is the N+ hard, ive not studied on this much just the cisco stuff.
Should this be ok or would i need to spend some time revising on this?

I passed the n+ exam a few years back and it is different from the Cisco stuff. N+ is non vendor specific and covers a broad area of networking, some being quite old. I would definitely recommend revising for it. The exam has more than likely changed since i took it.

The Cisco study alone wont be enough to pass the N+, its not stupidly hard but you will definitely need to revise. It covers a fair range of topics including stuff about routing protocols which go beyond the scope of the CCNA.

The CCNA will cover part of the networking fundamentals but you'll need to cover more than the CCNA. I've read through the material for both. Every body I know that's done the N+ exam recommends Mike Myers N+

I'd have said quite the opposite. The N+ I started was generally viewed as a lead-on to CCNA because it didn't cover the more advanced stuff like the various types of spanning tree, link aggregation, Link state routing protocols etc. There was a lot of legacy stuff in it too (seemingly that's just compTIA because my A+ course was still talking about ISA slots)

That said, don't assume because you've done a bit of CCNa you'll pass because Cisco teach things from a very specific angle which doesn't always tie up with vendor-neutral certs.
