Nope...not money, but in single player modes on games are you a compulsive saver. I noticed that over the last few weeks after not really gaming much for a few years i'm hitting the quicksave button in games after every few kills, it's becoming almost obsessive :D

I noticed it most in playing through F.E.A.R. for the second time, played it first on the 360 and for some reason feels so much harder on PC which is strange as I always struggle with FPS on consoles.

Yes definitely a compulsive saver - I remember downloading a mod for operation flashpoint so I could save the game in between checkpoints.

Not since I got my quicksave corrupted =/

Only do it occasionally now unless each quicksave saves to a new "slot".

I am too, however i really feel that this is one area where consoles are superior - you are often more restricted to saving at particualar places on consoles meaning the game lasts longer. being able to save wherever whever does nothing to the longevity of a game even if it does alleviate a few frustrations.

The best game that got this right was Far cry imo

Without a doubt, with you 100% on that one...the frustration i've suffered at not being able to auto-save coupled with the feeling of satisfaction upon completing certain areas makes me go back to this game again and again.

One point in this game I would have killed for a quicksave though was after you flood a large room, go up through the ventilation, drop down to a flooded corridor to meet one of those beasties with a rocket launcher on his arm...that part made me want to cry.

nope, i hate quick saving all the time. I had a game ages ago that used to rate you on how much you saved it and because it called be a coward i decided i shouldn't save so much.

YES!!! i (F5) all the time :D its one of those things, wen that option wasn't in most games u could live without it no problem, but NOW any game that dosn't have a quick save option that takes you far back in the game if you die/lose whatever.... its so onnoying!

The only time I use quick save is if I keep getting killed at a certain point, which in that case I will quick save every 30 seconds to a minute.

Project IGI was the best/worst when it came to saving. Worst because there were no quicksaves, only saves at the end of the levels, and best because if you completed it, you felt on top of the world.

For the last 2 levels, I had to read a walkthrough, but at least I didn't cheat.

I feel guilty quicksaving otherwise so try to avoid it too often.

i hate devil may cry for its lack of saving. i get annoyed by fear, not because of its requirement of saving lots, but the fact that i always forget it and even the 'quick' save seems to take forever

I F5 every 20 seconds :( I despise losing any progress, especially when a game does something just plain unfair really unexpectedly or you do something incredibly stupid and you lose half an hour of progress. I've had that happen so much in the past I just never stop hitting F5.

I'm constantly saving.

Grown up with it over the years with so many dodgey games that crashed so often it was just annoying. Then when games generally got better performance wise it's second nature and it also comes in handy that you don't have to replay 30-60 minutes of a game again :p

Only time I don't religiously save is when I know a game is watching you do this and rating your performance based on it. Or there are achievements or unlockables for keeping the amount of saves down.

If I'm finding a game really hard then I will save quite often. Lame I know but I can't help it :( If I can play through the game reasonably comfortably then I save every 30 minutes or so which keeps me on my toes.
