also have a think about the layout before you start plugging everything in.

route cables around the back off the mobo where possible.

also, check the case forum as there are a few cable tidy pictures in there which should give you a few ideas.
 
I'm wondering whether to take the opportunity and buy some braided cable extensions ... But not sure i need them.

Yeah i have cable ties and will try and just keep it all tidy with good room for airflow.

Need some new fans as well as my 240mm intake is pretty loud.

Any recommendations for cheap quiet fans?

does your current 240mm fan have a 3 or 4 pin connector on it, if its 4 pin any chance you can connect it to the mobo and let it be controlled via bios ?

other alternative might be to reduce the fan to run on 7v.
